Absolutely beautiful snake, and an interesting idea that I would definitely try again.

The camera seems to have focused on the area just behind the snake's head, which i think is an easy fix and detracts significantly from the overall feel. I'd mess around with the posing a bit—maybe try getting the snake's head in the palm instead of on the fingers, or potentially have the snake coming from a different angle. That said, the way you have it in this picture presents a remarkable amount of relaxation; nothing feels stiff or tense. I'd also recommend removing the ring. It distracts from the rest of the piece more than it adds.

The textured grey background is an interesting choice. You might want to experiment with options, but overall it adds to the feeling of relaxation. Experiment a bit with the lighting as well; the lack of immediate shadows is an interesting presentation, and you could absolutely extend that to the shadows around the wrist. Though I must say, the way you emphasized the snake's muscles with the lighting is wonderful, and adds a hint of power to the relaxed tone.

Overall, very pretty. Beautiful python, and the hand seems to compliment it in shape. I'd love to see your other work!
