I still have one intimate confidante-my Melancholy

Okay, I have to say that this is an incredibly powerful piece. There's a softness and gentleness to the model's skin and the motion of the hand. It speaks of a closeness that the two may have had or still have. I really like how you didn't lead with an explanation and, thus, leave the meaning/interpretation behind the image to the viewer. This makes the artwork so much more interesting, in my opinion. The colors also provide a calming and almost mysterious atmosphere, beckoning the viewer to look a little longer.

Also, as an added note: I have had a phobia of people touching my shoulders for as long as I can remember and have never been affected by a picture before. This photo succeeded in triggering that fear and that's why I hold it in such high regard. I've never had an image trigger something so incredibly physical before.
